About Us

PJ’s Sun Control is a family owned business established on August 18, 1986 by Paul Sylvia.

P.J., as most know him, started learning the art of custom window film installation in 1982.  He was self- taught until 1986 when he attended professional window film installation training in Atlanta, Georgia.  In Atlanta, he trained among others from all over the world.  Upon completion of specialized training, P.J. officially opened PJ’s Sun Control while attending high school.

After high school, P.J. attended the University of Southern Mississippi, where he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration and Marketing.  In August of 2007, he had completed over 25 years of experience as a window film installer and over 20 years as a window film business owner.  The past 25+ years in the window film business has enabled PJ’s Sun Control to build a very respectable reference list of thousands of residential and commercial clients.  PJ’s Sun Control is highly recommended by well known interior designers, architects, and contractors across the southeastern United States.  P.J. has received Gold Badge accreditation from CPFilms in 1992 and is currently regarded as one of the most experienced, knowledgeable and professional installers in the United States still applying film to glass today.

PJ’s Sun Control specializes in commercial and residential window film installations.  PJ’s Sun Control is based on the Mississippi Gulf Coast but operates on a nationwide level to provide clients with hard to find superior quality installations.

P.J. also believes in giving back to the community.  P.J. has been a youth licensed soccer coach since 2002.  His business ventures have donated funds to enrich the lives of youth soccer players in South Mississippi.  P.J. believes that an investment through time and money in our youth is well worth it for our future generation.
